How do you clean a dirty teat?
How do you dispose of needles?
How do you dispose of contaminated milk? What is the ratio of milk to water?
Check distances as in red pages.
When were liners and seals replaced?
Are agrichemicals locked? Is the water source away from the shed and does it have backflow preventer?
Check drug expiry is filled out four times a year and check none of the drugs are expired - check cabinet, metabolics and all other cow treatments in the dairy shed.
Ensure antibiotics are locked away.
Check no treatment is left at the crush, cups on, or vet stand.
Check broach dates are on all injectables and none are opened longer than their label allows, typically 28 days.
Check all drugs are on the RVM and that RVM is signed by the vet, and by the farm owner.
Check MINDA treatment records for presence of:
Non-drug lameness treatments.
Dry cow therapy treatments.
Non-RVM treatments are recorded - such as teat emollient, drench, and Metabolic treatments. Make a blanket recording for teat spray.
Correct witholding times - back to mob one day after end of withold.
Check Fertiliser Records correlate with Farm Dairy Records (N Pages).
Check all dairy diary monthly plant inspections are filled out:
Refrigeration peak pages.
Temperatures
